Many of you know that I recently started my dream job as an Apprentice Product Manager at Pinterest! After spending a decade in marketing, breaking into tech took a lot of effort, but I made it. This opportunity means everything to me as I work towards becoming a top product leader and future app founder.

To get here, I had to fully step into my "Disciplined Girl Era." This era is all about taking unapologetic strides toward your goals by staying productive and consistent. When you’re in this mindset, there’s no room for excuses—you’re too focused on making things happen and holding yourself accountable. It’s about dreaming big, working hard, and, as Beyoncé said, grinding until you own it.

I envision myself as a boss mother and leader in the tech industry, so I’m actively embodying that version of myself every day. That’s the key: we can manifest and visualize, but we also have to put in the work because, as the saying goes, faith without works is dead. For me, being in my "Disciplined Girl Era" means I’m showing up as the highest version of myself who’s already living the life I aspire to.

So, here’s a glimpse into my morning routine as a mommy of two in my "Disciplined Girl Era!"

Mindfulness and Preparation

4:00 AMWake Up
I rise early to embrace the quiet of the morning and prepare my mind for the day ahead. I’ve found that my head is the most clear during this time of day. I really appreciate the solitude I have where everyone in my house is sleeping and I can truly pour into me without disruption.

4:05 AMPray, Meditate, and Journal
I spend time in prayer and meditation every morning, followed by journaling to set my intentions and affirming myself with whatever I need for that day. My spiritual nourishment is non-negotiable. As mothers, our spirits need to be recharged often so that we can do all of the powerful things that we have to do in a given day. We need to be in frequent communication with God, our ancestors and our spirit guides.

4:30 AMBrief Cleaning and Organizing
I clean my home every morning, even if it’s just a simple loading the dishwasher or wiping down my desk. I’ve found that I am most at peace in a clean space. This is a ritual I do for myself every day especially since I spend so much of my time at home.

Nurturing Myself and My Baby

4:45 AMFeed My 4-Month-Old
I have both of my babies on a pretty consistent schedule. My 4-month old typically wakes up at this time for his morning feeding. I get my cuddles and quality time in with him before putting him back to bed and then nourishing myself.

6:00 AM20-Minute Pilates on YouTube
Getting back into a consistent fitness routine has been challenging for me with two babies. I prefer working out in the early morning and it’s more convenient to do so from the comfort of my home, that way I don’t have the leave the babies. I have been loving PilatesBodyRaven on YouTube! I’ll do a quick 20-minute workout in the morning and also on my lunch break.

6:20 AMEnjoy a Green Juice
I’ve been intentional about incorporating more greens into my family’s diets for health and wellness purposes. I make us all a pitcher of fresh green juice weekly and I have a small cup for myself after working out.

6:30 AMTake a Shower
I cleanse my body and make sure I smell really good lol. It’s the little things that go a long way for me in terms of self care as a busy mama!

Getting Things Done

7:00 AMWork on Godyssey
I spend an hour before work doing things associated with my business, Godyssey. I’ll send emails, create social posts, write a blog post, and/or edit a video etc. I’ll also spend time after work and on the weekends so that I can run my business on top of motherhood and a full time job!

8:00 AMMake Breakfast and Feed the Babies
I make breakfast for my toddler who typically enjoys a good bowl of oatmeal with fruit in it. When he wakes up (usually around this time) I get my cuddles in and feed him and give him a bottle before we head out.

8:30 AMGet the Babies Dressed and Ready for Daycare
I try to make this as efficient as possible by bathing my children at night and setting out their stuff. I like to make sure my diaper bag is ready so that I’m organized in getting them ready and dropped off to daycare.

9:00 AMDrop Off at Daycare
I drop the babies off at daycare and feel very accomplished for being an organized girly!

10:00 AMStart Work
With my morning routine complete, I’m ready to dive into my workday with focus and energy. I turn a product management podcast on if I’m not in meetings and get to werk!

This morning routine is essential for me as a mom-of-two and aspiring product leader. By prioritizing mindfulness, nurturing my body, and staying organized, I set a positive tone for the day ahead. I believe that starting my day with intention not only empowers me but also creates a nurturing environment for my family, who can also thrive in their own goals and ambitions. I hope this glimpse into my routine inspires you to find what works best for you in your own "Disciplined Girl Era!" You go, goddess!
