I Built an App for Moms: My Journey to Creating Godyssey
May 2026 | New Jersey
Godyssey helps moms streamline village support and prioritize self-care. I built this app for women rediscovering themselves after the initiation into motherhood. Godyssey nurtures the divine mother so she feels supported in showing up fully for her life and her purpose.

My entrepreneurial journey began in October 2018 in Palm Springs. I had received a scholarship to attend a three-day wellness summit — three days of yoga, holistic healing, and conversations with some of the most renowned voices in the wellness industry.
One evening, after a sound bath and aerial yoga, I sat quietly by the pool taking in the beauty around me when a thought came through clearly: "I am the creator of Godyssey." I knew it came directly from God. In that moment, my purpose was revealed to me — and I chose to trust it.
By March 2019, I brought that vision to life through wellness events for women in Brooklyn and Los Angeles. At its core, Godyssey was created to help women step into their goddess power.
The word Godyssey represents a spiritual journey — a quest of returning to and embodying one's divine feminine energy. From that, I developed the G.O.D. Philosophy: Ground. Organize. Deliver. A simple yet powerful framework that anchors everything I build:
Ground — Center yourself and nurture your inner world so you can move through life rooted in your power.
Organize — Structure your life intentionally in a way that feels supportive, aligned, and purposeful.
Deliver — Take consistent, intentional action in alignment with your purpose and your destiny.
This philosophy is a reminder that the greatest journey we will ever take is the journey of discovering and living our purpose. God gives each of us a calling, and it is our responsibility to honor it — to show up fully and use our gifts to leave a positive impact on the world.
From Events to Technology
It has taken time to get here. Godyssey has evolved — from hosting wellness events to creating technology that empowers women. Around 2020, when the world shut down, I realized I wanted to reach women beyond physical events. I wanted to connect at scale, globally, to spread the mission I had been nurturing.
At the time, I had no idea how to build an app. I reached out to someone I knew in big tech — a talented Product Designer and Engineer — and asked if she could help. She couldn't take it on, but she encouraged me to explore low-code tools. That moment made me realize I had a steep learning curve ahead.
Life went on. I focused on settling into New Jersey and starting a family. And in the midst of all of it, I made a decision that changed everything — I was going to break into tech. I worked harder than I ever had, eventually landing my dream role as a Product Manager at Pinterest, where every day I learn what it truly means to build consumer products that delight users and help them create lives they love.
The Rebirth
Becoming a mother reignited all of my dreams and desires — even though, at one point, I felt completely disconnected from my purpose. I had forgotten who I was and what I was here to do. Looking back, I realize I wasn't just giving birth. I was being reborn. The woman I became on the other side is the strongest version of myself yet.
We often hesitate around the term "Strong Black Woman," but the strength I embody now has empowered me to navigate heartbreak, healing, ambition, leadership, community, sisterhood, balance, wellness, self-care, and joy in ways my younger self would have marveled at. I know this strength is not my own — it comes from God.
Motherhood awakened my inner goddess on a whole new level. I realized I don't only give birth to children — I give birth to my purpose every day. I am clear on why I am here. I am on a divine mission, and I must keep moving in faith that the work I'm called to do will yield outcomes far beyond my imagination.
That isn't to say it's easy. Being a mother of two toddlers, building a demanding corporate career I love, pursuing entrepreneurship, thinking long-term about generational wealth, nurturing meaningful relationships, healing past trauma, and making time to simply exist in my divine feminine energy — it stretches me fully. Every single day.
And in all of that stretching, I looked around for a tool that could coordinate my village, protect my self-care, and still make space for the woman I was becoming. I found nothing that truly resonated.
So I built it myself.
What Is Godyssey?
Godyssey is a village support platform built for ambitious mothers — women who are not only raising children, but embracing their own rebirth while rising into the fullest version of themselves. We believe that when a mother is grounded, organized, and supported, she doesn't just manage her life. She becomes who she was always meant to be.
The entry point is practical: she needs her village to thrive.
I assembled a small, brilliant team and we built the Godyssey app from the ground up. Here is how it works:
Schedule Conflict Detection Add your village members with their availability and a personal trust ranking, sync your Google Calendar, and upload your children's schedules. Godyssey automatically scans your week and detects the moments where childcare coverage is needed — before they become a crisis. No manual tracking. No spreadsheets. Godyssey just knows.
Village Management Your entire support network is organized in one place — contacts, availability, trust rankings, and care preferences. Godyssey always knows who is most likely to be available and who you trust most, so you never have to figure it out under pressure.
Childcare Coordination When a conflict is detected, Godyssey suggests the best-fit village member based on your trust ranking and their real-time availability. With your approval, Godyssey drafts and sends a personalized message to that person on your behalf. They confirm via text. You're notified instantly. Every reminder and care detail is handled automatically — so your village member has everything they need and you don't have to brief anyone.
No awkward ask. No cognitive load. No guilt. Just your village, activated for you.
The result is less overwhelm, clearer days, and real, tangible space for self-care — so the woman underneath the mother can finally exhale and pour back into herself.
Godyssey is currently free to get started. Premium features — including unlimited village members, full AI-powered conflict detection, and complete care detail management — are coming soon for our founding members at our lowest price, locked for life.
The Journey Continues
Our MVP is focused on village coordination — because thriving as a mother starts with being supported. The platform will continue to grow with her, expanding into wellness, community, and personal growth as she evolves. The entry point is the village. The destination is her becoming.
I am so grateful to the incredible women who helped bring this vision to life: Rachel Bekele, Nariscia Henriques, Yisselda Rhoc, and Nicole Guillien. Your brilliance and dedication over the past two years made Godyssey possible. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
